Harrisburg Shakespeare Company continues its 2012-2013 Mainstage Season with Leonard Nimoy's VINCENT, based on the play VAN GOGH by Phillip Stephens. VINCENT will run Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from tonight, March 2 - 17 at Gamut Classic Theatre, located on the Third Floor of Strawberry Square, Downtown Harrisburg.

In the week following his brother's suicide, Theo Van Gogh stands before the audience in defense of his brother's humanity and genius. Based on letters sent between the two, this one-man show distills the pride, pain, and joy shared by brothers, both in blood and in art. Starring Gamut Core Company actor, David Ramón Zayas, and directed by Gamut Artistic Director, Clark Nicholson.

For the first time in the history of Gamut Theatre's Mainstage Harrisburg Shakespeare Company productions, all performances of VINCENT will be "Bring Your Own Price" (BYOP), where any size donation buys admission to the show. Executive Director, Melissa Nicholson, is very excited about this experiment in the business of live, professional theatre. "At Gamut, we have always strived toward greater accessibility for all citizens to the arts, and the response to our regular BYOP events has been so tremendous, that we wanted to try extending that philosophy to the entire run of one of our Mainstage productions." Adds Nicholson, "I think it is going to be a wonderful experience for our patrons and for Gamut as a whole."

VINCENT was originally Produced, Written, Directed by and starred Leonard Nimoy.

Gamut Theatre Group is led by Artistic Director Clark Nicholson and Executive Director Melissa Nicholson.

VINCENT will be presented at Gamut Classic Theatre in Strawberry Square from tonight, March 2 through 17 on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and on Sundays at 2:30pm. All tickets are Bring Your Own Price at the door. Advance tickets are $27 for adults and $17 for students/seniors.
