Hanover Little Theatre's LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS Begins Today

By:

Hanover Little Theatre will host a horticultural horror show next month as Broadway's most-famous plant comes to town in Little Shop of Horrors. The classic Broadway musical tells the story of mild-mannered floral shop assistant Seymour Krelborn and his carnivorous plant. Little Shop features a fun and familiar soundtrack, including ""Somewhere That's Green"" and ""Suddenly Seymour.""

The show will run today, April 8-9 and 14-16 at 8 p.m. with 2 p.m. matinee performances on April 10 and 17. The theatre will once again raise money for a local non-profit organization during this production. The Safe Home Program at the Hanover YWCA will be the nonprofit partner for Little Shop. Each ticket for the Saturday, April 9 show will mean a $4 donation to combat domestic violence. The theatre will donate $2 and an anonymous benefactor will match that amount. Donation jars will be available at all shows to support the cause. Safe Home works to provide comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence, including a 24-hour hotline and crisis response fielded by staff and volunteers, options counseling, legal advocacy, transportation, and child therapy. Safe Home also serves as a referral source to link victims with other services required to achieve the goal of self-sufficiency. In addition, a staff person facilitates a weekly peer support group during which free childcare is provided. Since inaugurating this program in November 2014, Hanover Little Theatre has donated nearly $2,500 to a variety of local organizations

Jeremy Slagle will direct the talented cast led by TJ Creedon (Seymour) and Hillary Miller (Audrey). Experienced actors Ron Ross (Mr. Mushnik) and Greg Trax (Orin Scrivello) make their HLT debut along with Marquas Fountain (Audrey II). Gabrielle Dixon (Crystal), April Howard (Ronnette) and Morgan Miskiel (Chiffon) will play the urchins while Roxanne Hennessy, Courtney McDougall and Ana Rosenbrien comprise the ensemble.

Tickets for Little Shop of Horrors are on sale now. You can buy online at www.hanoverlittletheatre.com. You can also call 717-637-5297 and leave a message. We will return messages for tickets within 72 hours. Online ticket sales are available around the clock.
