Full Cast Announced THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER At EPAC

A classic comedy is coming to Ephrata Performing Arts Center, September 5-14, 2019, THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart.

It's the Middle Class versus the Elites in Kaufman and Hart's uproarious comedy THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER. An instant hit when it opened on Broadway in 1939, the play has gone on to be one of the most performed American comedies. A popular film version was released in 1942 starring Bette Davis. THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER, as it is so aptly named, is a comedy play about a dinner guest who long overstays his welcome. Although he originally was forced into bed-rest due to injury, he soon makes himself at home and begins meddling in his hosts' personal lives. Christmastime is a time for giving freely, and Mr. Sheridan Whiteside is freely giving his opinion and insults to the Stanley family, who are stuck with him.

The production, directed by Ken Seigh, will star EPAC Artistic Director Edward Fernandez (KING LEAR and HAIRSPRAY) as Sheridan Whiteside, Kristie Ohlinger (HAND TO GOD and ANGELS IN AMERICA) as Maggie Cutler, and Jordon Ross Weinhold (PETER AND THE STARCATCHER and SWEENEY TODD) as Banjo, respectively.

Additional casting includes Alexander P. Bannon (Professor Metz), Carl Bomberger (Beverly Carlton), Maya Burdick (June Stanley), Bob Checchia (Mr. Stanley), Barb Ellis (Mrs. McCutcheon), Gene Ellis (Doctor Bradley), Mac Evarts (Ensemble), Zander Gawn (Bert Jefferson), Zach Haines (Ensemble), Lisa Harris (Mrs. Dexter), Abby Hoy (Sarah), Lynne DeMers Hunt (Lorraine Sheldon), Rogan Motter (Ensemble), Elizabeth Pattey (Harriet Stanley), Robin Payne (Mrs. Ernest W. Stanley), Ethan Reimel (Richard Stanley), Preston Schreffler (John) and Joanna Underhill (Miss Preen).

Creative Team: Kenneth Seigh (Director), Andi Jo Hill (Scenic Design), Lisa Harris (Costume Design), Michael Wiltraut (Lighting Design), Julie Rhine (Properties).

"I am so excited to work with such an 'all-star' cast!" says Lynne DeMers-Hunt. "This is a real 'who's-who' of EPAC talent and you get to see them all on stage in one play!"

"EPAC truly fosters a sense of family among all who work there. However, the talent pool is so large that we don't always get the opportunity to work with some of the actors that we've admired on stage," says Zander Gawn. "This production brings together a group of wildly talented family members who's excitement for sharing the stage will radiate through each performance!"
