It is 1968, and a group of close friends gathers in a New York City apartment to celebrate a birthday. What begins as a warm, familiar evening filled with music, drinks, and laughter slowly shifts as the alcohol flows and a seemingly innocent game of “Truth” is introduced. As the night deepens, jokes turn sharp, secrets rise to the surface, and old wounds refuse to stay buried. Each man is forced to confront the realities of friendship, identity, and self-acceptance in a world that is not yet ready to fully embrace them.
First produced Off-Broadway in 1968, The Boys in the Band was a revolutionary moment in American theater. It unapologetically brought the lives of gay men to the stage with honesty, complexity, and humanity, forever changing what audiences could expect from live theater.
This production is directed by Nathan Butler and stars Rob Egan, Stephen Kane, Chris VanDerwerker, Shane Smith, Isaac Weber, Jason Walsh, Connor Gates, Deven Jay Mori, and Mark Durkee.
Adult Ticket: $33 (includes fees)
Raw, intimate, and emotionally charged, The Boys in the Band remains as powerful and relevant today as it was when it first premiered.
