Samuel Beckett: TRAGICOMEDY AT ITS HEIGHT - a lecture by Victoria Sullivan

Please join Producing Artistic Director, Wallace Norman and the cast of the Woodstock Fringe production of Happy Days by Samuel Beckett on Saturday July 23 at 4pm at the Woodstock Artists Association and Museum in The Phoebe and Belmont Towbin Wing for a lecture on the life and work of one of the greatest dramatists of the 20th Century.

Woodstock Fringe returns to Byrdcliffe this summer with the Woodstock Fringe production of Happy Days opening on Thursday, August 11 for a two-week run at the Byrdcliffe Theater in Woodstock, NY.

Victoria Sullivan , Ph.D. is a poet, playwright and former academic.
Her essay on Beckett appeared in the collection Past Crimson, Past Woe, the Shakespeare-Beckett Connection, edited by Anne Marie Drew (Garland Publishing, 1993). She has written theatre criticism for the New York Times and was a theatre reviewer for the website CultureCath.com for five years. She has had seven Equity productions of her plays in Manhattan; as well as numerous readings of her plays both in the city and locally in Woodstock; and was awarded the Jerry Kaufman award in playwriting by the American Renaissance Theater Company,. She is a member of the Woodstock Fringe Playwrights Unit, and is the poet laureate of the “Woodstock Round Table†on radio station WDST. She teaches literature in the LLI program at Bard College and serves on the Prison Writing Committee of the international writers organization PEN.
