Sondheim Unplugged, New York's long-running hit revue (currently in residence at Manhattan's 54 Below), will make a special, one night only appearance in Putnam County on Saturday, November 23rd at 8pm at the Philipstown Depot Theatre, located on Garrison's Landing in Garrison, NY. At Sondheim Unplugged, audiences can expect to hear music from the composer's most beloved works from the stage, film and television, including A Little Night Music, Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park with George, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Pacific Overtures, Sweeney Todd, Follies, Passion, Anyone Can Whistle, Dick Tracy, Evening Primrose, Reds and many more - all accompanied by piano only. Sondheim Unplugged features a rotating cast of Broadway and New York cabaret's most dynamic performers, celebrating the work of the theatre's most beloved and prolific composer. The series debuted in July of 2010 (in celebration of Sondheim's 80th birthday), at New York's Laurie Beechman Theatre, and has been running ever since.

At this special performance, Sondheim Unplugged is thrilled to welcome special guest Sarah Rice, who created the role of Johanna in the original Broadway production of Sweeney Todd. The cast for this performance also includes Jennifer Lee Andrews (Broadway's Les Miserables, Grand Hotel), Christine Bokhour (Broadway's Chicago), ERIC Michael GillETT (Broadway's Sweet Smell of Success, Kiss Me Kate, The Frogs), JULIE HECKERT (Evita National Tour, Simply Streisand at the Depot), Donald Kimmel (The Seagull, Beyond the Fringe, at the Depot) & LISA SABIN (The Way of the World, Simply Streisand at the Depot). The show is hosted by series creator Phil Geoffrey Bond (MAC/Bistro/Nightlife Award-winner), who will fill the audience in on special Sondheimian tidbits concerning the creation of each work, as well as the composer's life. Musical Direction is by JOSHUA STEPHEN KARTES.

The Philipstown Depot Theatre is accessible BY CAR - four miles north of the Bear Mountain Bridge off route 9D - Garrison Landing. Parking is available in the Metro North lot.
