"A Phantom Returns" is set for Friday September 14th 7pm at the Historical Pickens Opera House, Heuvelton, New York. Tickets: $20. To order call 315-344-7950.

Following his sold out concert tour in British Columbia Canada, and a special appearance at the London 2012 Paralympic Closing Ceremonies, Peter Karrie will continue his "Phantom Returns" concert tour in New York with a built-in fundraiser event for the Historical Pickens Opera House.

On Friday September 14th Karrie will perform at the Historical Pickens Opera House in Heuvelton, New York. The concert is being held to raise well needed funds to help with the restoration of the Pickens Opera House.

Originally built in 1858, the three story building has undergone renovations for the past 12 years and re-opened last month. The restoration project (estimated at over $1,500,000) has been funded largely in part of grants from the Sweetgrass Foundation, New York Main Street, Empire State Development, and the state Office of Parks and Recreation Historical Preservation. However, the Heuvelton Historical Association requires an additional $130,000 in order to complete the final phase of restorations. Construction of phase three will include a 4,571-square-foot addition to the back of the main floor, housing an elevator, fire-safe stairs and handicapped-accessible restrooms.

Karrie is best known for playing the role of the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera in London, Toronto, Vancouver, Singapore, Hong Kong, Bradford, and Manchester. He was twice voted the favourite Phantom of members of the international Phantom Appreciation Society. The Vancouver Sun described his performance in the role as "definitive". He has also been cast as Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, Che in Evita, Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha, and Daddy Warbucks in Annie.

He will be joined by local soprano and rising star Kaitlyn Lashomb. Lashomb is no stranger to fundraising campaigns. Earlier in the year she held a successful benefit concert to raise funds for local families with children battling cancer. Other guests appearances by the Heuvelton High School Choir, and Heuvelton Select Choir. The event is sure to sell out and hopes to raise suffient funds to help complete the restoration of the building. While tickets are only $20, donations will be gladly accepted.

Following fundraising event in Heuvelton, Karrie will continue his concert tour to the Clayton Opera House on September 20. Limited tickets are still available. For details, visit his website: www.PeterKarrie.com.
