Doug Lawler to Sing National Anthem for Special Olympics Tournament
The rough around the edges sound that Rock N Roll veteran Doug Lawler projects is countered by his heart for others. The Schenectady, NY native will be showing his charitable side at the Special Olympics Softball Game in Mechanicville on October 9. Opening up the regional tournament at McBride Field, he is set to perform the National Anthem at 9:15am.
"It really warms my heart to have the opportunity to perform the National Anthem for the Special Olympics Softball Tournament," says Lawler. "I love watching the athletes really give it their all. They are the real rockstars."
Doug Lawler's enthralling performance of the National Anthem will be the kickstart to the New York segment of Lawler's Uncompromised Tour, promoting the release of his new album of the same name. The official Uncompromised Release Party will take place October 15 at Rascals in Crossgate Mall in Albany.
