The Play Group Theatre is a nonprofit educational theatre in downtown White Plains, New York, offering process-oriented theatre training and performance opportunities to children and teenagers regardless of financial means. Its summer program, Camp PGT, serves students ages 4 through 17 with one-, two-, three- and four-week options that can be mixed and matched. Course offerings include musical theatre, on-camera work, Shakespeare, design and technical theatre, playwriting and playmaking, filmmaking, sketch comedy and improv. Campers are grouped by age into Little Theatre, PGT Kids, Young Actors' Ensemble and Teen Conservatory. The organization's 20,000-square-foot performing arts complex includes a MainStage Theatre, Studio Theatre, rehearsal studios and scenic and costume shops.
