Summer Camps with Taproot Theatre Acting Studio

Founded in 1976, Taproot Theatre Company is a Seattle theatre in the Greenwood neighborhood whose Acting Studio offers classes and camps for students in grades Pre-K through 12. Summer day camps run weekly from late June through late August at Taproot's 204 N 85th Street building and at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church. Offerings include DramaQuest story-based camps for the youngest campers, Art of Comedy, Improv 101, Stage Combat, Acting Shakespeare, Acting for Film, Playwriting, Backstage Theatre technical camps, and youth and teen showcases; two-week Musical Theatre Supercamps stage full productions such as Matilda Jr and High School Musical. Younger camps typically run 10:00 AM-2:00 PM or 10:00 AM-3:30 PM. A $25 registration deposit holds a place, discounts apply for multiple classes, and need-based tuition assistance is available.
