Standing Ovation Theatre Company of South Jersey

Standing Ovation Theatre Company (SOTC) began in the summer of 2009 as a small theatre camp for students in Delran, New Jersey, founded by the Dorfman family out of their combined backgrounds in theatre, music and dance. It has grown into a year-round youth theatre company drawing students from South Jersey communities including Riverside, Delran, Moorestown, Cherry Hill, Mt. Laurel, Marlton, Cinnaminson, Palmyra, Medford and Mt. Holly. The company describes its approach as focused on connection - on stage, in rehearsal and in life - and on process rather than only the finished performance, helping students grow as artists and as people. Alongside its summer program, which for 2026 runs July 13-31, Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm, SOTC produces a current season of ticketed productions and maintains a faculty of theatre professionals.
