SOCAPA Summer Arts Camps for Teens

SOCAPA, the School of Creative & Performing Arts, runs pre-college summer arts intensives for teens ages 14 to 18. Two- and three-week programs are offered in filmmaking (core, advanced and screenwriting), acting and musical theater, photography, dance and music, each taught by working professionals and ending in a screening, showcase or exhibition. Summer campuses are in New York City's Greenwich Village at NYU and The New School, at Occidental College in Los Angeles, and at Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont; the LA and Vermont campuses offer both residential and day enrollment. SOCAPA also runs City Cinema, a year-round weeknight and weekend film and acting program for New York City high school students. Admission is rolling, beginning with a $50 application deposit.

Residential and day options at the LA and Vermont campuses. Rolling admissions with a $50 application deposit, a $500 registration deposit on acceptance and final payment due April 1.
