School of Rock Madison

School of Rock Madison is a performance-based music school at 845 Boston Post Road in Madison, Connecticut, next to Clippership Row, open Monday through Friday from noon to 10pm. Its programs are Rookies for ages 4-7, Rock 101 for ages 8-13, the Performance Program for ages 8-18, Songwriting for age 12 and over, and an Adult Program for students 18 and up. Students combine a weekly private lesson on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard or vocals with a weekly group band rehearsal, working toward live shows at Connecticut venues every few months. Performance Program students may audition for the school's House Band, which gigs year-round, and for the national AllStars summer tour. Seasonal music camps are offered, but no camp session dates or pricing were posted at the time of review.
