School of Rock Downington

School of Rock Downingtown is a performance-based music school located in the Downingtown Technical Center in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Its programs pair one weekly private lesson with one weekly group band rehearsal so students learn music by preparing to play it live. Rookies and Rock 101 serve beginners, the flagship Performance Program covers roughly ages 8 to 18, and additional tracks include a gigging House Band for students under 18, an Adult Program, and auditions for the national AllStars summer tour. Instruction is offered on guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals at beginner through advanced levels, and students perform periodically at local Downingtown-area venues. Instructors are working musicians led by music director and general manager Tom McKee.
