Sarasota Youth Opera Summer Workshop

Sarasota Youth Opera's summer camp is a program of Sarasota Opera, held each June at the Sarasota Opera House in downtown Sarasota. Campers study many facets of opera under the direction of Sarasota Opera's professional artistic and production staff. A typical day includes sessions in singing, acting, physical comedy, sets, props, wigs, make-up and costumes, all led by working artists, directors, musicians and technicians. The camp is designed for all skill levels and no audition is required. In 2026 the program ran June 8-19 for ages 8-10 (10:00 AM-3:00 PM weekdays, $350) and June 8-26 for ages 11-18 (10:00 AM-4:00 PM weekdays, $525), with optional early drop-off and late pick-up for an added fee. Enrollment for 2026 has closed; information for the 2027 camp is posted in January.

Weekdays 10:00 AM-3:00 PM for ages 8-10 and 10:00 AM-4:00 PM for ages 11-18. Optional early drop-off 8:30-10:00 AM ($25/week), late pick-up 3:00-5:00 PM ($25/week), or both ($40/week). No audition required; all skill levels welcome. 2026 enrollment closed; 2027 information posted in January.
