S.T.A.R.S. Academy “Beetlejuice Junior” Summer Musical Theatre Camp Intensive at The Shawnee Playhouse

The Shawnee Theatrical Arts Resource School (S.T.A.R.S.) is the summer camp program of The Shawnee Playhouse, a historic 1904 theatre in Shawnee on Delaware, Pennsylvania. Registration for the 2026 S.T.A.R.S. summer camps and intensive is open. Camps introduce children to many aspects of theatre through stage movement, dance, music, art, creative games, role play and scene study, and campers also learn theatre etiquette, terminology, costuming and makeup. Each week carries a different theme, generally tied to the shows produced during the Playhouse's summer season, and every session ends with a staged production created for that group. Camp days run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with snacks provided and campers bringing lunch. The program is overseen by executive director Midge McClosky and assisted by summer interns; camp size is limited.
