Emerging Artists' Camp

A.D. Players at the George Theater in Houston runs the Emerging Artists Theatre Camp, a summer day-camp program held at partner church and community campuses across the Houston area. The camp welcomes students entering 2nd through 8th grade at beginning to intermediate skill levels, from first-time performers to experienced young actors. Instruction covers acting and performance, including stage presence and character development, plus creative expression through improv, story development and stage design. The program emphasizes collaboration, adaptability and confidence, and is built on a Christian worldview that promotes kindness, compassion and empathy. In 2026 sessions ran during the weeks of July 6, July 13 and July 20 at Christ Presbyterian Church, Emancipation Park, Grand Parkway Baptist Church and City Church, with registration through the theater's online box office.

Camps are hosted at partner campuses around Houston; families register per campus through TheGeorge.vbotickets.com. Open to students entering 2nd through 8th grade at beginning to intermediate skill levels.
