Ballibay Camps Inc

Camp Ballibay is an overnight fine and performing arts camp in Camptown, Northeastern Pennsylvania, established in 1964 and serving young artists ages 8-16 for sessions of two to seven weeks. The 174-acre mountaintop campus is phone- and social-media-free, with studios for painting and drawing, printmaking, ceramics, fibers and hand crafts, and photography, plus facilities for theater, dance and rock music. The dance program offers daily ballet, jazz, tap, modern and hip-hop classes; the rock program provides guitar, bass and drum instruction with band practice and a culminating show; and the theater program is process-oriented, spanning full-length plays and musicals, one-acts and staged readings. Additional programs cover film and video, vocal and instrumental music and horseback riding, with sports and swimming daily. Campers are not auditioned or interviewed.
