Allens Lane Art Centers Summer Art Camp

Allens Lane Art Center Summer Art Camp is a weekly day camp for children ages 5-12 in the Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, run by a community arts center operating since 1953. Each week offers a fresh workshop, medium, and theme, with campers rotating through painting, drawing, ceramics, improv, scriptwriting, film, and other creative disciplines taught by teaching artists and assistants. Days are split into morning and afternoon workshop blocks with outdoor breaks in adjacent Allens Lane Park and a lunch hour. Every Friday closes with a showcase where campers exhibit artwork throughout the building and perform short pieces in the center's theater for families. Free before care and paid aftercare are available, and scholarships and financial aid are offered.

Weekly sessions, each with a new workshop, medium and theme. Camp day runs 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. with free before care 8:30-9:30 a.m. and paid aftercare 3:30-5:30 p.m. Campers bring their own lunch. Registration opened January 26, 2026. Full and partial scholarships and family membership discounts available.
