Times are Hard for Dreamers at The Green Room 42

Times are Hard for Dreamers, an intimate cabaret evening celebrating the longing, rebellion, and unshakeable hope of musical theater's most beloved outcasts, will be presented at The Green Room 42 on May 15th, 2026 at 9:30pm EST. Produced and conceived by Natalie Kasper, the show brings together an ensemble of New York City performers for a journey through the full arc of chasing something, including the hunger, the rejection, the rebuilding, and the moments that make it all worth it.

The evening features some of musical theater's most indelible songs of yearning, including "Out There" from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, "Somewhere That's Green" from Little Shop of Horrors, "I Can Do Better Than That" from The Last Five Years, and more.
