FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents The Pokémusical on Sunday August 7th at 9:30 PM. Get ready to grab life by the pokéballs. After spreading the craze in Cleveland and Los Angeles, where it won Best Musical at the Hollywood Fringe 2013, writers Alex Syiek and Andrew Leslie Cooper are proud to bring The Pokémusical to Feinstein's/54 Below. In this mile-a-minute (unofficial) Pokémon parody musical, see your favorite nostalgia-ridden characters from the cartoons and games take the stage like never before. The Pokémusical lovingly lampoons the famous franchise that is slowly taking over our lives. There's battling animals (sorry PETA), songs about evolution (sorry creationists), and everyone's favorite adorable yellow rat speaking in iambic pentameter (sorry Shakespeare). It's a story about climbing to the top, and the importance of the friends you meet along the way, and, speaking of friends, join us (or we'll cancel your Pokémon GO account)!

The Pokémusical is directed and produced by Alex Syiek and will feature the talent of Ciara Renée (Big Fish; Pippin; DC's Legends of Tomorrow), Anthony Sagaria (American Psycho; OITNB), Caitlin Houlahan (Bridges of Madison County National Tour; Peter Pan Live!), Kyra Kennedy (Theory of Relativity at Goodspeed), Kelly Autry, Chris Cowan, Peyton Crim, Brandyn Day, Ian Gregory Hill, and Nate Klingenberg. Musical direction is by Andy Roninson (Take a Ten Musicals) who helms the keys, with Jack Schlesinger on guitar and Danny Ursetti on drums.

The Pokémusical plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Sunday, August 7th at 9:30 PM. There is a $25-$35 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.

Alex Syiek is a current student at NYU in Tisch's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program (Cycle 26). He attended Baldwin Wallace University for his Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre (performance). Musical works include Howard, Henry, and Pearl (Music and Lyrics), Merely Players (Music and Lyrics) [Hollywood Fringe 'Pick of the Fringe' 2015], Giraffenstein (Book, Music, and Lyrics) [Hollywood Fringe 'Pick of the Fringe' 2014], and The Pokémusical (Book and Lyrics) [Hollywood Fringe Best Musical 2013].

Michael Feinstein, one of the world's great musical artists, and 54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, have united to give New York an unparalleled destination for entertainment and dining. Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, is the performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, Feinstein's/54 Below is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. Feinstein's/54 Below presents iconic and rising stars from the worlds of Broadway and popular music. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. In their description of the venue, The New York Times writes Feinstein's/54 Below "has the intimacy of a large living room with unimpeded views and impeccable sound; there is not a bad seat. Its sultry after-hours ambience is enhanced by brocade- patterned wall panels planted with orange-shaded lanterns. And the atmosphere is warmer and sexier than in Manhattan's other major supper clubs." Located at 254 West 54th Street, Feinstein's/54 Below features up to three shows nightly with cover charges ranging from $5-$155. www.54Below.com/Feinsteins
