THE DORIS DEAR CHRISTMAS SPECIAL Returns This December

After the successful run last holiday season, Ray DeForest is back in "A Doris Dear Christmas Special" on December 13th & 20th at 7pm at The Triad Theater in NYC. Grab a seat in the Rumpus Room, and come along on a fun holiday romp and relive the glory days of the Holiday TV Specials "LIVE" at The Triad Theater.

2016 MAC award winner for Impersonation/Drag, Doris Dear, welcomes you back to the Rumpus Room for a holiday party full of special guests, comedy, songs and stories. Directed by award winning director Lina Koutrakos and musical direction by award winner Rick Jensen, Doris Dear brings her stories and style back for a celebration with her friends dropping in for a holiday drink or two!

Special guests include multi award winning vocalist Lina Koutrakosand a cabaret artist who has been selling out rooms in NYC, Lisa Yaeger. Guitar extraordinaire Sean Harkness will be dropping by to share a special holiday treat with everyone and Rick Jensen will be singing one of his original songs that will be added to everyone's holiday play list! Have you ever wondered how Doris Dear creates a perfect holiday? Well, this show will teach you things you always needed know. Relive an "old fashioned" Christmas inspired by the great TV holiday specials that were the standard of TV watching in the 50's, 60's and 70's! from the 50's and 60's with Doris Dear.

The show is written and performed by MAC award winning vocalist, Dramatist Guild member and SAG/AFTRA National LGBT Board Member Ray DeForest as "Doris Dear". Doris Dear has been featured in movies (Men in Black 3, The Normal Heart), TV shows (The Carrie Diaries) and stages around the country with her singing and comedy stylings! Ray has been performing professionally for 37 years around the world in tours, stage shows, revues and was a host on TV's HGTV, Food Network, and had his own "How To" TV show syndicated through Fox Syndication.
