The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel is pleased to welcome back hitmaker and beloved crooner Steve Tyrell to the Café Carlyle for an engagement that celebrates legendary songwriter Sammy Cahn. It's Magic: The Songs of Sammy Cahn will feature songs from Mr. Tyrell's new album of the same name which will be released on May 14th. The program pays tribute to the incredible work of Sammy Cahn, whose songs are firmly embedded in the Great American Songbook and during the early 60s defined a generation, giving life to the Rat Pack's repertoire. Mr. Tyrell will play at the Café Carlyle May 7th to May 18th.

In 2005, after the passing of the legendary Bobby Short, Mr. Tyrell was asked by the Café Carlyle to take over their revered Holiday Season, which Mr. Short had not missed in 36 years. Now Mr. Tyrell has become a fixture in New York and has played the Café Carlyle to record crowds for the last 8 years.

For the exclusive two-week engagement, Mr. Tyrell will be joined by musical director and pianist Quinn Johnson, Bob Mann on guitar, David Finck on bass, Kevin Winard on drums, Lew Soloff on Trumpet, and Jon Allen on keyboards.

Café Carlyle is located in The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel (35 East 76th Street @ Madison Avenue). Steve Tyrell will play Tuesdays through Saturdays at8:45pm, and Saturdays at 10:45pm from May 7th to May 18th. There is a $100 music charge ($60 bar seating) Tuesday through Thursday and a$110 music charge ($65 bar seating) for shows on Friday and Saturday.
