Stars Of TOOTSIE, ANASTASIA, and More Lead FALLING OUT at Feinstein's/54 Below Tonight

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents FALLING OUT: A NEW MUSICAL! BY JOSEE WEIGAND on Wednesday, February 27th at 9:30pm with a cast featuring performers from Broadway's TOOTSIE, ANASTASIA, ONCE ON THIS ISLAND, and more.

The evening will introduce songwriter Josée Weigand and feature songs from FALLING OUT: A NEW MUSICAL! The musical, which was recently nominated for "Best Musical Score" at the 2018 New York Theater Festival's Winterfest, takes you on a journey with Alex, a young woman starting over on her own, as she deals with the aftermath of past mistakes and heartbreak. A new musical in development, FALLING OUT, seeks to unravel the idea of falling in and out of love, as Alex realizes that she can't control what other people think or feel; she can only decide for herself whether to use her past as a crutch or an inspiration for the future.

The Songs from FALLING OUT will be performed by John Arthur Greene (Tootsie, School of Rock), Tally Sessions (Anastasia, School of Rock), Tyler Hardwick (Once On This Island, Marie, Motown), Josh Walker (Rent), Kasie Gasparini (Mamma Mia!), April Lavalle (Seussical the Musical), Sarah Hinrichsen (The Imbible), Haley Bond (It's a Wonderful Life), Leela Rothenberg (Grease), Eric Michael Parker (Whiskey Pants: The Mayor Matthias of Williamsburg), Markus McClain (Tink!), Darren Cementina, Kate Morrisey, Camryn Rose Pillay, and Jake Tudor. The evening is produced by Julia Dunetz.

MORE ABOUT JOSEE WEIGAND

26 year-old songwriter, Josée Weigand, has been writing and performing music for over 10 years. She spends her days performing viola with Nashville based classical string quartet "La Vie Quartet" and her evenings writing songs and working on musical theatre projects. Inspired by the likes of Pasek & Paul, Drew Gasparini, and Jason Robert Brown, Weigand began writing the music for FALLING OUT in 2017 and is thrilled to share the music with the audience at Feinstein's/54 Below. Weigand obtained her bachelor's degree in music (violin) performance from North Park University in Chicago and currently travels all over the country performing classical, bluegrass, and original music. Weigand studied with Broadway composer Steven Lutvak and made her NYC compositional debut at the 2018 New York Theater Festival's Winterfest where her music was nominated for "Best Musical Score."
