Sarah Smith, currently touring as Rosie in the Mamma Mia North American tour, joins the cast of Big Thunder Productions' #YesAllWomen Raise Your Voice concert presented by The Tank at 9:30pm Friday November 21st. Ms. Smith joins Jenna Leigh Green and Kimberly Faye Greenberg to perform songs addressing the many sides of the gender equality movement, written by contemporary NYC composers and songs created especially for the concert. Also singing in the concert are Kyle G. Bailey, Vanessa Bronfman, Danielle Faitelson, Loresa Lanceta, Nikki MacCallum, Daniel Maté, Gina Morgano, Shakina Nayfack, Gavyn Pickens, Tim Realbuto, and Stephanie St.Hilaire, with Dana Aber as host and emcee.

Contributing musically to this new concert project are a vibrant group of composers, including Anna Jacobs, Rachel Peters, Katie Thompson, Joshua H. Cohen and Marisa Michelson, Nora Terzo, David Wolfson, Benny Gammerman & Christina Capatides, Daniel Maté, and EllaRose Chary & Erato A. Kremmyda, Christie Baugher, P.K. Tirol, Jason Purdy, and Andrew David Sotomayor, with music direction by Julianne B. Merrill.

The #YesAllWomen Raise Your Voice concert was also presented in San Francisco in a joint venture with MFA students at American Conservatory Theatre. Big Thunder's #YesAllWomen Raise Your Voice concert is aiming to travel with its creator and director, Dana Aber, into multiple cities, and be performed by local talent in every venue, creating a unified theatrical experience in tandem with the #YesAllWomen message, linking artist to artist through common experiences and collective songs, creating solidarity and connecting people through a unified voice.

Big Thunder Production's #YesAllWomen Raise Your Voice concept stems from the #YesAllWomen Twitter handle, which quickly became an open forum for people to connect and recount their testimonies of harassment and assault following the YouTube confessionals and War On Women manifesto posted online by Elliot Rogers and the subsequent massacre he perpetrated at USC Santa Barbara in May of 2014. Big Thunder Productions is a production company committed to the creation and proliferation of new works, and has created 5 concerts of original musical theatre songs designed to share the music of over 50 composers during its first year. Big Thunder believes theatre is an American experience, and is happy that this next collaborative project addresses a very American issue.

The Tank is located at 151 West 46th Street. The concert begins at 9:30 PM, doors open at 9 PM. $15 tickets are available online, with limited door tickets available, reservations recommended. Ticket information available through www.thetanknyc.org. Proceeds from the concert will help fund Big Thunder's next presentations of the #YesAllWomen RaiseYourVoice concert around the country.
