Stacie Perlman, First Runner Up in the 2011 MetroStar competition, will make her cabaret debut in The Story Underneath, taking you on a journey through the world of fairy tales, at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, New York, on Tuesday, July 10 @ 7:00 PM, Tuesday, July 31 @ 7:00 PM and Tuesday, August 14 @ 7:00 PM.

Magic mirrors, evil witches, and other surprises wait around every bend... behind every tree... and things are not always what they seem.

Stacie Perlman burst onto the cabaret scene as part of the 2011 MetroStar Competition at the Metropolitan Room, beginning as a complete unknown and ending as the First Runner-Up in what was acknowledged to be the tightest race in the competition’s history. Hailing from Coney Island, Brooklyn, USA, Perlman was most recently seen at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, in Smile on My Face: The Songs of Richard Eisenberg. She has performed on board Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas, as well as in regional productions of Jesus Christ Superstar, A Grand Night for Singing, and two productions of Kander & Ebb’s The Rink.

The creative team are Director MAC Award Winner Rob Langeder and Musical Director MAC Award Winner Jason Wynn.
