Rodney Hicks Joins UNCIVIL Concert Presentation Cast at Feinstein's/54 Below

Rodney Hicks will star as General Robert E. Lee alongside Tony Nominee J. Robert Spencer, Mitchell Jarvis, Wayne Duvall, Michael Abbott Jr., Ian Lowe and Brian Charles Rooney in the upcoming Feinstein's/54 Below concert presentation of the new hit musical, Uncivil, Feb 2nd at 9:30pm.

Mr. Hicks is an actor and playwright who made his Broadway debut with the original cast of Rent, returning in 2007 to play Benny until the show's closing night. He most recently co-starred as Bob in the new musical Come from Away which is played to sold-out audiences at Seattle Repertory Theatre, and prior to that originated the same role at La Jolla Playhouse, where the show had its world premiere.

Broadway credits include: Clarence Norris in The Scottsboro Boys (Original Cast Recording), Benny in RENT (Closing Cast, DVD), Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar (2000 Revival), Paul & Others in RENT (Original Cast, Original Cast Recording). Off-Broadway: Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris (2006 Revival, Cast Recording), RENT (New York Theatre Workshop), Bring in the Morning (Polo), among others. A host of Regional credits. Television roles include: Guest Star turns on "Leverage," "GRIMM," "Law and Order: Criminal Intent," "Hope & Faith," and various pilots. As a playwright, Rodney has written and conceived a new play, NC-17, with original songs by indie singer/ songwriter Justin Jude Carroll. Hicks is also at work on a 'Norman Lear esque' contemporary play called P.S. BKLYN. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Acting at Portland State University.
