Rhonda Ross to Perform at The Cutting Room, 5/16

After captivating the audience at The Hollywood Bowl last year, singer/songwriter RHONDA ROSS will make her return to The Cutting Room on Friday, May 16, 2014. Throughout the past year, with sold-out performances at The Cutting Room, Iridium & Stamford, CT's Palace Theater, it has become evident that Rhonda not only has the voice, but the significance to carry on her mother's (Diana Ross's) legacy, all the while establishing her own unique musical destination. In July, she will again be opening for her mother at the Montreal Jazz Festival.

At the Cutting Room, Rhonda will be backed by Terry Burrus on piano, Dominick Maybank on bass, Kevin Harrington on drums, Sylvester Scott on sax, Shareef Clayton on trumpet & back-up singers Terrell Tipton, Leseli Lugo & Melissa Musique. Rhonda's song writing reveals her as a unique & important voice on the music scene. You can feel that she has already lived through all the lyrics that she writes. And these songs are some of the most eloquent we've heard on love & life. Deeply spiritual & uplifting, yet grounded, Rhonda's "wise beyond her years" lyrics are introspective & inspiring.
