Photo Flash: Stephanie J. Block Performs at Birdland in XOXOXMas

Last night, November 29, Stephanie J. Block opened her two-night run of holiday shows, "XOXOXmas!" at Birdland. The audience enjoyed Block's performances of seasonal favorites like "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas," Streisand's "Jingle Bells?," "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm," and "We Can Be Kind." Block will continue her performances Monday, November 30th, at 7:00pm. Domenic Amendum, who musical directed Block's recent debut cd, leads the four-piece band.

Stephanie J. Block recently starred as Judy Bernley in the Broadway production of 9 to 5: The Musical. Before that, she played the role of Elphaba in the Broadway Company of Wicked. Broadway audiences also know her for her dazzling portrayals of Grace O'Malley in The Pirate Queen and Liza Minnelli opposite Hugh Jackman in The Boy From Oz. Stephanie also starred in the First National Touring Company of Wicked as Elphaba, for which she won the 2006 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Actress. She recently celebrated the release of her debut solo album, "This Place I Know," released by PS Classics.

Stephanie J. Block brought XOXOXmas!to Bridland on Sunday, November 29 at 6:30pm and Monday, November 30 at 7pm. Broadway at Birdland is located at 315 West 44 Street, NYC.
