Photo Flash: Christine Andreas Brings PIAF-NO REGRETS to Live at Lynn University
The GPS & WAZE indicated you were in Boca Raton, Florida at Lynn University, but your eyes, ears, and heart pinpointed your location at the Paris Olympia Music Hall in France. , The audience was on the Champs-Elysees because Christine Andreas brought the stories and songs of Edith Piaf to the Wold Performing Arts Center.
There is probably no better actor/singer on the planet than Tony Nominated Christine Andreas, with her spine tingling, full-bodied vibrato tinged voice and story telling ability, who is skilled enough to re-create the spellbinding magic of Edith Piaf. Together with her husband Martin Silvestri on Piano and Accordion, Piaf-No Regrets is one of the finest musical experiences you can have, and the only regrets in Piaf-No Regrets is that it doesn't last for another 90 minutes.
A very stunning Christine Andreas wore Piaf's traditional Black, as did the glamorous Jan McArt, Director of Lynn University's Theater Arts Program Development and producer of the Live at Lynn Series.
Christine Andreas first captured the hearts of New York City theatergoers as Eliza Doolittle in the 20th anniversary production of My Fair Lady. This was followed by Laurey in Oklahoma! And as Frankie Frayne in On Your Toes. She also appeared on Broadway as Jacqueline in La Cage aux Folles. She has performed in concert at Carnegie Hall, Geffen Hall, Town Hall, and the Kennedy Center as well as venues all over the world.. In collaboration with Martin Sylvesti, a Grammy-nominated producer they released Love Is Good. Two other CD's Here's to the Ladies recorded with a 55-piece London Orchestra, and The Carlyle Set were included on USA Today's Top 10 list.
