Broadway stars Lisa Brescia (Wicked, Mamma Mia!) and Clarke Thorell (Hairspray) and Off-Broadway star Saum Eskandani (Disaster!) were joined by several dozen children and teen performers from Newtown, CT to celebrate the launch of their World Premiere CD of A ROCKIN' Midsummer Night's Dream.

This critically acclaimed fresh new take on Shakespeare's classic comedy features a fantastic new rock score by Eric Svejcar with lyrics by William Shakespeare, Eric Svejcar and Michael Unger. A ROCKIN' Midsummer Night's Dream recently completed a critically acclaimed run in Newtown, CT as part of the 12.14 Foundation's summer season. This new musical adaptation was written specifically for the young performers within the Newtown community and is being preserved on a two-disc set which will be released in early 2015.

The 12.14 Foundation was created as a means of using the performing arts to help heal, inspire and promote personal development within the Newtown community in the aftermath of the tragedy of December 14th, 2012. The profits from this concert will help support The 12.14 Foundation's mission.
