Paul Chamlin & Rochelle Breyer Chamlin present "Gems by Jule: Selections from the Jule Styne Songbook" at the Laurie Beechman Theatre 6/1 and 6/10 at 7:00pm.

The incredibly prolific Jule Styne wrote hundreds of songs over his 60+-year career. In their newest show, acclaimed cabaret couple Paul and Rochelle Chamlin present a sampling of his many gems, from familiar favorites to lesser-known treasures. Selections will span his early days in jazz-infused Chicago to Hollywood in its studio heyday, on to the Golden Age of Broadway and television. Their longtime director Teresa Fischer, herself a celebrated cabaret artist, is once again on board.

Performances are Sunday, June 1st and Tuesday, June 10th. Both shows are at 7:00 pm.

This is Paul and Rochelle's 7th show. Their earlier offerings explored such topics as the sea, traveling, women songwriters, and their own relationship. The couple met in 2005 in the Catskills during a professional singing gig. From those unlikely romantic beginnings evolved an inspired musical partnership, and in the last several years they've become a familiar and welcome presence on the New York cabaret scene.

Paul Chamlin has established his reputation for over 30 years as a Musical Director, coach, singer, and repertoire specialist. As MD for numerous Friar Club shows and benefits, he has accompanied such Broadway legends as Len Cariou, Anita Gillette, Lee Roy Reams, and Penny Fuller. Rochelle Breyer Chamlin comes from a classical singing background, performing as a professional soloist in opera and oratorio. They've combined their considerable talents to create supremely entertaining shows that feature witty banter, beautiful harmonizing, eclectic songs choices, and unique chemistry.
