The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) will present its Songwriter Spotlight concert at 54 Below on April 28 at 9:30pm. Adam Halpin (Dogfight), Lisa Howard (South Pacific), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody), Patti Murin (Lysistrata Jones), Mamie Parris (Wicked), Kate Rockwell (Rock of Ages), Andrew Samonsky (The Mystery of Edwin Drood) and Sarah Stiles (Vanities) have joined the line-up.

The concert will highlight three songwriting teams who have been part of NAMT's Festival of New Musicals: Barbara Anselmi & Brian Hargrove (Broadway-bound It Shoulda Been You, recently seen at The Village Theatre and George Street Playhouse), Paul Gordon (Broadway-bound Jane Austen's Emma and Analog and Vinyl, premiering this summer at Weston Playhouse) and Ben Clark (The Circus in Winter, premiering this fall at Goodspeed Musicals with a book by Beth Turcotte and Hunter Foster).

A portion of the proceeds will support NAMT, a not-for-profit organization, whose programs include the 26th Annual Festival of New Musicals, which will take place on October 23-24 at New World Stages.

NAMT's Festival of New Musicals has showcased 220 shows by 420 writers over the last 25 years. Musicals NAMT has helped develop include Children of Eden, The Drowsy Chaperone, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Songs for A New World, Honk!, See Rock City and Other Destinations, Ordinary Days, The Memory Show, Nobody Loves You and Ruthless!.
