Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association Hosts March is Cabaret Month Celebration

Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association presents the 5th annual "March is Cabaret Month" celebration, which will be on two consecutive Saturdays, March 3 and March 10, at Egan’s Ballard Jam House.  There are four distinct shows displaying the award-winning talents of many of Seattle’s cabaret performers and music directors.  Most of the participants have attended the International Cabaret Conference at Yale University.  

ARNALDO! DRAGCHANTEUSE (2005 International Cabaret Conference at Yale University) is a New York Backstage Bistro Award Winner and was chosen as one San Francisco Bay’s Jazz & Cocktails Top 10 Cabaret Acts in 2010. Arnaldo! has performed to full houses in New York, LA, San Francisco, Palm Springs and Puerto Vallarta to name a few. Arnaldo! is a founding member of The Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association. www.dragchanteuse.com 

Judy Ann Moulton (2010 International Cabaret Conference at Yale University) A member of AEA and PNW Cabaret Association, she has performed on Pacific Northwest stages for nearly 25 years. Judy Ann was awarded www.BroadwayWorld.com ‘s Critic’s Choice Award for her one-woman show Judy Sings Judy, the music of Judy Garland, which she has performed many times in the Seattle area, Palm Springs and in Winchester, England.  www.judysingsjudy.com 

TER GALLAGHER (2010 International Cabaret Conference at Yale University) has spent many years performing Jazz, Classic Rock, Rock, R&B, Blues, Classic and New Country all over Western Washington. Classically trained, she has performed in local productions of Broadway musicals and concerts of African-American Spirituals throughout the PNW, in Victoria, BC, and in Toronto. She won “Female Vocalist of the Year” at the Juneteenth Gospel competition. Ter has been performing at various Seattle and Palm Springs Cabaret venues to rave reviews. 

CHERYL SERIO has been wowing audiences for the past decade at concerts, casinos, special events with both her cocktail jazz quartet and her 1960s band The Spyrographs. She has also starred in many cabaret reviews including Dames, Risqué Business and K-Tel Cabaret. Cheryl is also one of the founding members of The Pacific Northwest Cabaret Association. JEANNETTE D’ARMAND: (2003 International Cabaret Conference at Yale University) Credits: Cirque du Soleil’s Mystére, 5th Avenue’s Oklahoma!, Sweeney Todd and The Sound of Music, Village Originals, Balagan Theatre’s Spring Awakening. Founding member of The Daffodils. BFA/NYU. She recently released  her album Stage Road. www.jeannettedarmand.com 

MARCUS WOLLAND has been a cabaret performer and actor in the Pacific Northwest for the past 12 years having appeared with local luminaries Angie Louise, Loretta Deranleau, Cheryl Serio, and now Judy Ann Moulton and Kim Maguire!  Marcus’s one-man show Magnificent Welles, where he portrayed the great Orson Welles, was part of Seattle’s Fringe Festival.

JEROME ELLIOTT (2008 International Cabaret Conference at Yale University) is a Palm Springs-based singer and actor who first performed in Seattle in March 2010. Later that year he made his New York cabaret debut at the legendary Duplex Cabaret Theatre with his critically acclaimed show A Dry Heat. Jerome is one of Palm Springs’ most popular cabaret performers.

KIM MAGUIRE has performed all over the country for the past 30 years including cabaret in NYC, opera in Houston and musical theatre in Minneapolis and Seattle.  Kim is a vocal coach with a studio in Kirkland.  Many of her students now work at Village Theatre, the 5th Avenue Theatre and other regional theatres. 

DARYL SPADACCINI  His musical director credits include 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Children's Theatre, Seattle Shakespeare Company, Shunpike, and several Kitsap theatres. He has been doing cabaret shows here since the 70s. He spends 6 months of the year for Holland America playing their piano bars. www.dsomusic.com.

VICTOR JANUSZ (2008 International Cabaret Conference at Yale University) A full-time singer-pianist,  Victor has had on-going gigs at Columbia Tower Club, Salty’s On Alki, and --with his quartet-- appeared at venues from Bite of Seattle to Boeing's Museum of Flight! Vic has worked alongside singers as diverse as Duffy Bishop, Arnaldo! and El Vez, among others. CDs include Cosmo Street (cdbaby.com) and Hands Solo. www.victorjanusz.com
