Linda Glick Returns To Pangea With TEACH ME TONIGHT: PART II. VOILA! ImageSinger and actress, Linda Glick, returns to Pangea Restaurant and Supper Club (178 Second Ave, New York City) on Fridays, June 1 and 8 at 7 PM, with her acclaimed and newly revised show, Teach Me Tonight: Part II. Voila! Joining her is Music Director and pianist, Ian Herman, one of cabaret's most sought-after musicians and accompanists

Tickets for Teach Me Tonight: Part II. Voila! are $25 online in advance, $30 cash at the door. There is a $20 food/drink minimum. Purchase tickets here or call Pangea at 212 995-0900.

Linda Glick has been described as "full of grace and dignity, leavened by a touch of continental cynicism." Teach Me Tonight: Part II. Voila! features an eclectic program, perfectly in sync with the times today, combining plenty of new works with classic and signature songs by Charles Aznavour, Alberto Manzanero, Elton John, Janis Ian, Billy Joel, Tom Waits, Harold Arlen, Cole Porter and others. The show also includes new songs from The Wild Party, additional French selections, a song by Clint Eastwood and original material co-written by Glick and Herman.

Teach Me Tonight: Part II. Voila! explores the theme that we are both the teacher and student in the theatre of life. But the question remains: who is the teacher and who is the student? Teach Me Tonight: Part II. Voila! strives to answer that question. The show is also a call for tolerance, demonstrated in the sharing of humor, heartbreak, music history and personal stories. Glick, a "sassy and seasoned redhead," takes her audience on a joyous musical and emotional adventure, drawing from her own past experience, especially her stint as a Junior High School teacher of French and Spanish in the New York City school system.

The singer, a born and bred New Yorker, has worked in theatre, film and TV. Her career was launched in iconic cabaret rooms all over NYC, including Les Mouches, The Duplex, Reno Sweeney, the Triad, Judy's, Sweetwater's and others. Her humor and poignancy made her an especial favorite with gay audiences who constituted a strong segment of her following in New York. As Glick's career took off, she was booked in major rooms such as the Rainbow Grill, where she opened for Peter

Gordeno, aka: the Australian Rhinestone Cowboy. Thereafter, her venues alternated between gay cabarets, bath houses and the conventional circuit, including top flight Resorts, Atlantic City and luxury liners. In Washington, D.C., she opened for Peter Allen and headlined at the Gay Pride Day celebrations there. Her multi-faceted career has taken her around the world with one-woman shows and concerts. Recently, she has played major rooms including Feinstein's/54 Below in 2015. Glick also starred as Mrs. Brice in two regional productions of Funny Girl and played Nancy Pelosi in HBO's Too Big To Fail, as well as appearing in the feature film The Incredible Jessica James, directed by Jim Strouse.

Music director, Ian Herman, studied classical music and was a guest soloist with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra at the age of 13. He attended the Manhattan School of Music and then began to accompany top performers in NYC and around the country. In 1999, he received the Bistro Award for best Musical Director. Broadway credits include the revival of Grease, Toxic Avenger (conductor), The Who's Tommy, Jelly's Last Jam, Song and Dance, and others. His CD, Duet, with guitarist Sean Harkness, is comprised of all original music and was performed in concert.

Pangea Restaurant and Supper Club is located at 178 Second Avenue, between East 11th and 12th

Streets, New York City.
