Kim Sutton's powerful show, "Live to Tell," has been extended for one performance on April 9th at the Beechman theatre. Showtime is 6pm.

Kim, a MAC and Broadway World Award winning performer, turned her recovery from Essential Progressive Trauma and three brain surgeries in 2016, into a bold theatrical event conceived and created by Kim, Steven Ray Watkins, and Lennie Watts.

The "mischievous blonde bombshell and rebellious rabble-rouser," as she was described by Broadway World, celebrates her life with an eclectic musical set that samples 48 tunes by Madonna. Sutton recounts her childhood, years as a sailor, three brain surgeries and her "inevitable transformation into a woman of substance." Now recovered and well, Sutton pulls out all the stops in a show that's part intimate cabaret, part spectacle and part theater.

The show features Ashton Michael Corey, Paul Scott Pilcz, and Derek Staranowski and is directed by Lennie Watts, with Musical Direction and piano accompaniment by Steven Ray Watkins. Watkins will lead a trio.

One more performance on April 9th at 6pm. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in the rear of the West Bank Café at 407 W. 42nd Street, NYC 10036. Phone number for venue is 212.695.6909. Phone number for tickets at Ovation TIX is: 212.352.3101. The online ticketing link is web.ovationtix.com/trs/pr/967991. There is a $20 cover charge ($15 for MAC members) and $20 food and drink minimum per person.

Sutton debuted on the cabaret stage just a few short years ago with her show, 50 Shades of Kim, and followed that in 2015 with Anchors Away! for which Sutton won the Broadway World Cabaret Award for Best Show (Female).

Sutton followed that with a duo show,Whenever I Call You Friend, which she created and performed with her friend and musical colleague Kim Grogg. They won the MAC Award in 2016 for Best Duo Show.
