Jenna Leigh Green/Tim Realbuto Announce Songwriting Competition Winner
So, he and Jenna put ads out on Facebook as well as advertised on BroadwayWorld and they got a ton of submissions. The winner for the first stop of this Wunderkind tour is Andrew J. Hanley for his gorgeous song "Love Me."
"Jenna and I both immediately fell in love with the piece, it fits perfect within the story and we hope that audiences love it as much as we do." Tim recently said in an interview. As part of the prize, Andrew received two free tickets to Realbuto's star-studded Triad show next Monday (9/1), a chance to hear Mr. Realbuto and Ms. Green sing his original song in front of a live audience at Stage 72 at The Triad Theatre, as well as a meet and greet and photo op with Jenna and Tim after the show backstage in their dressing room.
Also, as part of the prize, a recording of Realbuto and Green's performance of Love Me from that night will also be featured on You Tube within the coming weeks. September 1st marks Tim's 30th Birthday, as well as the first stop on the tour of Tim's (not-so solo) solo show entitled Tim Realbuto: Wunderkind. Aside from it's star REALBUTO, the September 1st evening will also feature many special guest stars including Tony Award nominee STEPHANIE D'ABRUZZO (Avenue Q), JENNA LEIGH GREEN ("Sabrina the Teenage Witch"), ARIANA DEBOSE (Pippin), MELISSA DYE (Into the Woods), LAURISSA "LALA" ROMAIN (South Pacific), KIMBERLY FAYE GREENBERG (One Night With Fanny Brice), DAVID COLSTON CORRIS (Avenue Q), and ABIGAIL LUDROF (The HVAC Plays). The ensemble includes JULIE D'MOURE (Hair), MAT BURROW (Naked Boys Singing), newcomer THOMAS IAN JOHNSON, and ALLISON ST. ROCK (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). Realbuto's co-writer on Ghostlight, MATTHEW MARTIN, will also make a special appearance. JULIANNE B. MERRILL serves as musical director.
