On Friday, February 20th, The Spotlight Cabaret will present an incredible cast of Broadway and Off-Broadway performers performing new music by Julia Meinwald.

Everything is Nice features Manoel Felciano (Broadway's Sweeney Todd, Cabaret, and Jesus Christ Superstar), Nick Blaemire (Broadway's Cry- Baby, Things to Ruin at the Zipper), Katrina Dideriksen (Hairspray Las Vegas, Jerry Springer: The Opera at Carnegie Hall), Lauren Worsham (Candide at City Opera, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Weston Playhouse's Light in the Piazza) and Dustin Sullivan (Reduced Shakespeare Company, Anne of Green Gables with TheatreWorks), with Liz Carbonell and Mary Ann Shaub.

The evening begins at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman and is directed by Peter Cook with music direction by Rich Silverstein. Silverstein also accompanies with Arvi Sreenivasan on drums, Dan Shuman on bass, Jeff Widenhofer on guitar, Sean Hagerty on violin and Michael Haas on cello.

The concert also features lyrics by Maggie Kate Coleman, Dan Collins, Greg Edwards, Shoshana Greenberg, Rinne Groff, Kirsten Guenther, Roald Hoffmann, Patrick Huguenin, Gordon Leary, Taylor Mac, and Rob Shapiro.

Julia Meinwald's music has been heard in theatres (Cherry Lane, The Players Theatre, Barrington Stages, Goodspeed Opera House, Hangar Theatre), film (The Complications Productions), computer games (Gregames), and dance (Dance New Amsterdam.) A proud participant in the New Dramatists 2008 Composer Librettist Development Program, she is now completing a fellowship with the American Lyric Theatre. She received her BA in Music from Yale University in 2005, and her M.F.A from NYU Tisch's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program in 2007. www.juliameinwald.com.

The Spotlight Cabaret is produced by Ryan Scott Oliver and Rob Shapiro.
