Following a sold-out engagement at The Metropolitan Room, rising cabaret star Charlie Johnson will present his latest act, "CHARLIE! Anything but Basic," to 54 Below for one night only Saturday, September 12th at 11:30pm.

Hailed by critics as "exhilarating," "charming", and "deliciously campy," Mr. Johnson's act is unlike any other, uniquely weaving together jazz, stand-up, pop, and original material. Johnson will be joined onstage by longtime music director Ethan Andersen, Chris Agar on bass, and Aaron Drescher on drums. Alicia Varcoe produces the evening.

Mr. Johnson is a fast-rising cabaret artist having completed sold-out runs at both The Duplex and The Metropolitan Room. As an actor, he has appeared in productions at the Paper Mill Playhouse, 5th Avenue Theatre, North Carolina Theatre and The Maltz Jupiter Theater.
