CastAndLoose Live! returns for its 6th full-length installment to present "CastAndLoose Live! Aloha, Ghost In The Great Wall Of Ni'ihau" on Monday, July 17th, 2017 at 7:00pm at Joe's Pub at The Public Theater, 425 Lafayette Street, NYC. Tickets are $20 and are available HERE. Run time is one hour.

CastAndLoose Live! is based on the Tumblr page created and maintained by actor and writer Lynne Marie Rosenberg (High Maintenance); castandloose.tumblr.com is "your daily dose of show business misogyny, racism and general absurdity," featuring a collection of the worst, real casting notices the internet has to offer. In CastAndLoose Live!, stars of stage and screen dramatically bring to life some of the ridiculous and offensive breakdowns featured on the blog:

"(20's/30's) - an Asian woman who doesn't have the hard features of most other Asian females - she is more elegant and sophisticated and knows it"

"UNION - TO PORTRAY FEMALE ASIANS WHO ARE FAMILIAR WITH TWERKING"

"[ RICE CRISPY ] Male Asian rapper...18- 40. He thinks he is a world famous rapper with swag. He is funny, hyper & outgoing... If can rap a little or rhyme a few lines with an accent or in any Asian language, a big plus"

This evening, CastAndLoose Live! tackles everything the entertainment industry has to say (or not say) about Asian characters and performers. In addition to breathing dramatic life into these terrible job descriptions, the cast will perform the world premiere of short plays and original music written by members of the Ma-Yi Theater Company's Writers Lab, in response to the breakdowns.

CastAndLoose will donate net proceeds to the Asian American Performers Action Coalition. As always, come laugh at the problem while funding the solution.

Lynne Marie Rosenberg will perform with guest artists Pun Bandhu (Plenty), Cindy Cheung (House of Cards), Diana Oh ({my lingerie play}), Aneesh Sheth (Southern Comfort), and David Shih (Somebody's Daughter). The evening is directed by Jenn Haltman (Summertime), and will feature response pieces written by Dustin Chinn, Naveen Bahar Choudhury, Michael Lew & Timothy Huang, Diana Oh, Deepa Purohit, Nandita Shenoy and Lloyd Suh.

More participants and guest writers to be announced; casting is subject to change.
