The season is upon us, and as we rush to local stores to score the best presents for our families and loved ones, we should remember those who are less fortunate. Broadway performers Krista Buccellato (Cathy Rigby's Peter Pan), Kristy Cates (WICKED), Joshua Henry (The Scottsboro Boys, Porgy and Bess, American Idiot), Eliseo Roman (In the Heights, Leap of Faith), and Jodi Stevens (Jekyll and Hyde, Urban Cowboy) have teamed up with the non profit theatrical group of young thespians from the tri state area - Kids Performing Who Kare. Together they will do their best to spread holiday cheer in the season of giving during its Broadway Christmas concert and dinner. This special evening will take place tonight, December 13th at the Rockville Links Club in Rockville Centre, NY.

Kids Performing Who Kare is a non-profit theater organization that raises money for the Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop University Hospital and other Childhood Cancer Support Programs while immersing children and teens of all ages in a professional musical theater experience. This year profits will also help a young boy from Rockville Centre fighting cancer, Dougie Gonzalez.

"It's for a wonderful cause and not only does it incorporate the members of Kids Performing Who Kare, but it incorporates professionals from Broadway shows who are donating their time and are passionate about Kids Performing Who Kare," said Gina Naomi Baez, founder of the theatrical group and director of the concert. The concert will be musically directed by Scott Martin.

A $100 ticket includes the concert, cocktail hour, a three-course sit down dinner, raffles and silent auctions. The evening's emcee will be Darren Raymar, current Principal of Covert Elementary School in Rockville Centre, NY. Guests will enjoy Christmas staples like "O, Holy Night" and "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow" as well as Broadway and pop favorites."
