Brenda Jean Foley & Audrey-Maeve Hager Bring 'Then Comes Marriage' to Don't Tell Mama, 11/18 & 11/19

The ladies are back. After a debut at The Laurie Beechman Theatre in October, Brenda Jean Foley and Audrey-Maeve Hager are back by popular demand and proud to present two more performances of their cabaret Then Comes Marriage, a journey into the joys and aggravations of marriage. The shows take place on November 18th and 19th  at 7PM at Don't Tell Mama and feature musical direction by Tracy Stark and direction by Julie Reyburn.

Musical Director Tracy Stark is a 3-time MAC Award winner, a Bistro Award winner for Musical Direction, and winner of the 2008 Dottie Burman Songwriting Award. Tracy has worked with Lesley Gore, Phoebe Snow, Karen Black, Randy Jones (Village People), Jimmy Osmond, Tovah Feldshuh, Eric Millegan, Tonya Pinkins, Ann Crumb, Marni Nixon, and hundreds of other rock, jazz, and Broadway vocalists. She has conducted, played, and sung at all the finest and the sleaziest venues all over the world. She has played/conducted on numerous television shows, including The Today Show. Her songs are included on at least 20 different compilations, and have been winning accolades in songwriting competitions for the past 15 years. Her most recent CD, ‘Feast for the Heart' is exquisitely produced by Richard Barone, and includes a duet with the inimitable Phoebe Snow.

Director Julie Reyburn is a multi-award winning singer, actor and recording artist who has appeared in many of the top clubs in Manhattan. Her ability to connect to a lyric with unique interpretations has established her as one of New York's most celebrated female vocalist. She is the first ever Nightlife Award recipient for Outstanding Female Vocalist in 2003 and again in 2009 as a finalist. In 2007 Julie was presented with the coveted Julie Wilson Award from the Mabel Mercer Foundation "in joyful gratitude for the vocal majesty and lyrical interpretation she continually manifests in her classic presentations of the Great Popular Songbook."

Brenda Jean Foley is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BA in English. She is happily married since 2005 to Brian Foley, a circus clown. Brenda is co-founder and managing director of The CockEyed Optimists Theatre Company. She has also completed three feature-length film scripts that are banging around Los Angeles.

Audrey -Maeve Hager Earned a BFA in acting from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Audrey also holds a post graduate degree in Voice & Speech from Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne Australia and a certificate in acting from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. Audrey is co-founder and Associate Artistic Director of The CockEyed Optimists Theatre Company. Audrey has been married since 2004 to her Australian husband Chris Barker, a Graphic Designer.

Mark Janas, noted musical director and winner of MAC and Bistro awards called Then Comes Marriage "thouroughly engaging, heartfelt, and very entertaining with wonderful coupling of songs, deft direction by Julie Reyburn, and its fair share of surprises" and "a fine debut by two talented and theatrical savvy newcomers to cabaret".
