Annaleigh Ashford, Randy Graff & More Set for 5th Annual Broadway Belts for PFF!

Broadway's Julie Halston, currently featured in the hit revival of Kaufman and Hart's You Can't Take It With You, will host the 5th Annual Broadway Belts for PFF! (Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation) on February 23 at 7:00pm at Birdland Jazz Club (315 West 44th Street) as part of "Broadway at Birdland" series.

Directed by Carl Andress, the evening will feature the talents of Tony Award-winner Randy Graff (City of Angels), Annaleigh Ashford (You Can't Take It With You), Erich Bergen (Jersey Boys film, TV's Madam Secretary), Robert Creighton (The Mystery of Edwin Drood), Patti Murin (Encores! Lady Be Good, Lysistrata Jones), and Betsy Wolfe (Bullets Over Broadway/The Mystery of Edwin Drood).

All proceeds will benefit The Michael Kuchwara Fund for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Research, Education, and Advocacy, in honor of the late and beloved Associated Press theater critic and reporter. Michael Kuchwara, Associated Press theater reporter and critic for over 25 years, devoted his life to the theater. In May of 2010, following a brief illness, Kuchwara's untimely passing was linked to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

Ms. Halston is a spokeswoman and activist for pulmonary fibrosis, along with her husband, former Sirius XM news anchor for The Howard Stern Show, Ralph Howard, who was diagnosed with the disease in 2008.

Broadway Belts for PFF! features musical direction by Christopher McGovern, musical supervision and arrangements by Ed Windels, script by Julie Halston and D. Michael Dvorchak, Trisha Henson is stage manager, and Sue Frost (Dr. Zhivago/Memphis) is Co-Producer.

Since 2011, over $200,000 has been raised by Broadway Belts for PFF! for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, and has featured surprise appearances by supporters Tony Danza, Linda Lavin, Joel Grey, and Liza Minnelli.
