Legendary actress and singer Julie Andrews stopped by NBC's TODAY this morning to chat with Matt Lauer about the 50th anniversary of Mary Poppins, and the opportunities it opened up for her and her new legacy as an author for young readers. Check out the appearance below!

"It's mind-boggling!," said the Academy Award-winning actress on the 50th anniversary of the film. "I cannot believe it's been 50 years!," adding, "Do you know how lucky I am?"

In the segment, Andrews shared advice for anyone who has a dream of Being in show business, "If you're really passionate about it, keep doing your homework and keep perservering because if you really want it, chances are something wonderful is going to slide under your nose - be ready!"
