Mark Rylance

The historical drama WOLF HALL, Shane Meadows' "This Is England '90" and "Peter Kay's Car Share" were among the big winners at last night's BAFTA Television Awards, held at London's Royal Festival Hall.

Hosted by Graham Norton, the BBC 2 drama WOLF HALL received two awards including a nod for Best Drama Series and an award for Mark Rylance as lead actor.

Shane Meadows' drama "This Is England '90," was recognized as best miniseries, as well as best supporting actress for Chanel Cresswell. It was nominated for three awards. Amazon Studios' dramedy "Transparent," was honored as the best international program.
