Village Roadshow Promotes Kevin P. Berg to General Counsel, Executive VP, Business and Legal Affairs

Village Roadshow today announced the promotion of Kevin P. Berg to General Counsel at Village Roadshow Entertainment Group (VREG) and Executive Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs at Village Roadshow Pictures (VRP). Berg will continue to report to Greg Basser, CEO of VREG and Susan Bracey, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of VREG.

In this role, Berg will continue to work with VRP partner Warner Bros. and outside counsel to manage aspects of legal affairs related to the production, distribution and marketing of all VRP films. As part of a restructure of the VREG Business and Legal Affairs group, Berg's additional responsibilities will have him directly overseeing the tax and Compliance functions of the company while continuing to advise on corporate Compliance and international corporate governance agreements.

Berg has been with VRP since the establishment of the company's Los Angeles office in 1998 and was named Senior Vice President, Legal and Financial Affairs of VRP and Associate Corporate and Legal Counsel of VREG in 2008. Before joining VRP, Berg served as a legal consultant for the American Film Marketing Association and held the position of law clerk at the firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker.

VRP's upcoming slate includes "The Lego Movie" starring Morgan Freeman, Elizabeth Banks and Will Arnett opening February 7, 2014; "All You Need Is Kill" starring Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt and Bill Paxton opening June 6, 2014; and "Mad Max: Fury Road" starring Nicholas Hoult, Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron set to open in 2015.
