Wayne Brady on 'Wendy Williams'

Multi-talented performer Wayne Brady stopped by today's GMA to discuss his run as a drag queen in the Tony-winning musical Kinky Boots. Explaining how he brings the heat to the role, the actor jokes, "I think because my butt looks good in the dress and I look good in the heels! He adds, "I play this part with passion and with a sense of love and humor." Later, Brady does some freestyle raps with impromptu cues from the 'GMA' audience.

And yesterday, Brady made an appearance on The Wendy Williams show where he talked about his Broadway role and weighed in on the Oscar scandal.

Wayne Brady made his Broadway debut in 2004 as 'Billy Flynn' in CHICAGO, and also played 'Collins' in the 2010 Neil Patrick Harris-directed RENT at the Hollywood Bowl. In 2003, he won both a Primetime Emmy Award for "Whose Line Is It Anyway" and a Daytime Emmy Award as host of his own talk show, "TheWayne Brady Show." He currently hosts the CBS game show "Let's Make a Deal," which has earned him six Daytime Emmy Award nominations.

Now in its third smash year, Kinky Boots is also currently touring in the country on its First National Tour, and recently opened a production in Toronto in June. The show opened in the West End on September 15, 2015 at London's Adelphi Theatre, and has also announced an Australian production set to open in October 2016.

KINKY BOOTS tells the uplifting and heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family's struggling business. Charlie meets and finds inspiration in Lola and together, the unlikely pair finds that they have more in common than they ever dreamed possible... and discovers that when you change your mind about someone, you can change your whole world. The winner of six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Kinky Boots features a Tony Award-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, and direction and choreography by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell. The Grammy Award-winning Original Broadway Cast Recording of Kinky Boots is available on Sony Masterworks Broadway.
