FOX UFC SATURDAY powered the network to a primetime win across key demographics this past Saturday night, including in Adults 18-49, according to Nielsen Media Research.
The seventh installment of UFC on FOX, which saw lightweight champion Benson Henderson successfully defend his title in a dramatic split decision victory over Gilbert Melendez, posted a 2.2/4 average household rating/share, with 3.7 million viewers, representing a +47% increase over last year's comparable UFC on FOX event on May 5, 2012 (1.5/3, 2.4 million viewers). FOX UFC SATURDAY out-rated The Combined averages of ABC, CBS and NBC among Men 18-34 (2.2 vs. 1.0), Men 18-49 (2.7 vs. 1.6) and Men 25-54 (2.8 vs. 2.2).Viewership for the title bout between Henderson and Melendez peaked at a 2.7/5, with 4.7 million viewers, and posted a 2.7 in Men 18-34 and a 3.3 in Men 18-49, which would have Made it the second highest rated show in those two demos for the week among all broadcast networks in prime time.Videos
