John Travolta has canceled his appearance at the Golden Globe Awards tomorrow, his rep reported to Usmagazine.com.

Travolta was scheduled to present at Sunday's Golden Globes, where he is nominated for Best Original Song for his duet with Miley Cyrus in the animated film BOLT.

It would have marked Travolta's first public appearance since the tragic loss of his teenage son, Jett.

Jett Travolta passed away from a seizure on Jan. 2 at his family's vacation home in the Bahamas, autopsy results revealed Monday. A private memorial has been held at the Travolta's estate in Ocala, Florida.

"The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards" will take place Sunday, January 11, 2009 at The Beverly Hilton with a live telecast airing on NBC at 8 p.m. (EST) and produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

Jorge Camara is President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Orly Adelson, president of dcp and Barry Adelman will executive produce. Chris Donovan is the director and dcp's Bob Bardo is the executive in charge of production.
