According to Variety, Disney Channel's TEEN BEACH MOVIE drew 8.4 million viewers last night, July 19, making it the channel's most-watched television movie in four years. TEEN BEACH MOVIE's viewership surpasses HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL's 2006 debut of 7.7 million.

TEEN BEACH MOVIE stars Ross Lynch (Austin & Ally, R5) as Brady and newcomer Maia Mitchell as McKenzie, two teen surfing sweethearts who are transported back in time into a classic beach party movie - Wet Side Story where everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. The teen couple have to try and return to the present day, will they ever be able to get back to their real lives after inadvertently altering the films romantic storyline?
